An overview
This new invention relates to a surgical support device for positioning and retaining
a patient who must lie on one side during hip or pelvic surgery.
More particularly, it is a hip vise table apparatus that attaches to an operating table.
It has a removable top platform for supporting surgical instruments that is designed to
extend over and protect the patient's upper body during a surgical procedure.
The device features an arm support attachment that supports the arm of the patient
to prevent any unexpectedly rolling or turning during surgery. The pelvic positioner
attachment positions and restrains the patient's lower pelvic region during the surgical
operation.
